Be sure to stop in at the Dubois County Museum this holiday season and see all the holiday
beauty displayed. Be sure to grab a ballot and vote for your favorite decorated tree. We are
asking for your top three favorites, hard choice for sure. Thirty-nine decorated trees are
included in the contest. Seventeen trees are arranged around their perspective community
mural in the east side of the museum, with the communities of Cuzco, Hillham, Nicholson Valley
and Crystal representing Columbia Township and sharing the Haysville mural as they
contemplate a future mural for Columbia Township. It is sure a sight to see all those tree
glowing. Twenty-two trees are then placed with exhibits and displays. Don’t miss the trees
decorated with a theme for Veterans, Wildlife, German Immigration-Sister Cities, Victorian
Parlor, Latino community, children, Old World Santa ornaments and much more. The
“Remembering Christmas” temporary exhibit has wonderful memories of Christmas written by
county residents. Be sure to write your memory and submit it to Cheryl Sermersheim at
[email protected] or bring to museum. Include your name and possibly the year
of your memory.
Voting for the Christmas trees will continue till December 23, 2022, with winners being announced via
Facebook.

Trees were all decorated by volunteers.

A box of chocolates will be given to each winning tree’s decorators.
