“Beauty and Barber Shops” Temporary Display Opens March 1. Runs till October 2024
Chess Night on Mondays Every Monday from 5:30-8:00pm.
Saturday, March 9 Storytime at 10:30 a. m. Join Carrie Holdsworth and Rafaela Schaick as they
march and play music.
Sunday, March 10, Beauty and Barber Shop Panel with Beauticians and Barbers
1:30pm. On hand will be Irene Kapp, Bonnie Gehlhausen Matheis, Sandy Hoing, Kelli
Hacker, Brenda Buehler, Greg Kendall, Gene Mehringer, Gary Frank, Mike Cravener
and Bill Uebelhor. Also Kelli Hecker, a Cosmetologist from Louisville, KY, will share how
she started with her company, Work N Style, and grew her business. Those thinking of
this career would benefit from talking with Kelli. She will give out serval gifts bags..
Brenda Buehler will share how she created 40 years ago New Look, Ltd and operates
this hair replacements and wig business in Jasper. Food and refreshments available.
Saturday, March 16, 8-10 am Farm Bureau Hosts Ag Breakfast-recognizing farmers getting food
to the table. Serving pancakes, sausage and drink. The public is invited, charging a small $2 fee
to eat, do not have to be a Farm Bureau member to come and enjoy the breakfast. Free to
enter museum during this time of 8-10:00 a.m.
Saturday, March 16, 1:30p.m. Norb Krapf reads from his latest new poetry collection Songs for
All Souls. The book contains 75 pieces that are short, meditative spiritual poems. He will have
books to purchase and he will be on hand to sign them.
Model Train Club meets Monday, March 18 6:30pm. The Train Club is reorganizing.
Thursday, March 21, 1:00-2:00 p.m. Senior Executive Club at St. Charles-Kathy Bachman speaks about what is new at the museum.
Saturday, March 23 Chess Day at the Museum 10-4pm Come and play. Calling those who like to
play chess and are wanting a player to play against. Open to all ages and levels of players. Free
to play with your paid admission.
