The Dubois County Museum’s Exhibit and Programming teams have put together an interesting plan for programs in 2021. Beginning in January and running the whole year, the teams are setting up new temporary exhibits monthly, and a few additions to existing exhibits, and will present the new exhibit on the third Thursday night of each month. The museum is calling this idea Third Thursday Free Night. The museum will open from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for visitors to come in FREE to see the exhibit for the first time. Each month these teams have interesting exhibits planned.

Third Thursdays 2021 dates and themes:

January 21 – Boy Scouts items added to existing display

February 11 – Lincoln

March 18 – “Oh Baby” – featuring items from early childhood – set up in temporary display area till October.

April 14 – “The Bands play on…” – featuring the new Rustic bar

May 20 – STEM activities

June 17 – Feature the Train room “Rediscover Trains”

July 15 – Summer Art Show

August 19- Natural Resources exhibit opens

September 16- 4-H exhibit opens

October 21 – Spooky Streets Halloween trick or treating

November 18 – “Home Economics in Dubois County”

December 16 – Christmas

Visitors are asked to still wear masks and remain a safe distance from each other.
