“Spooky Streets at the Dubois County Museum” will take place Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. EST at the Dubois County Museum, 2704 N. Newton Street, Jasper, IN 47546.

Sponsored by the Optimist Club of Jasper and co-hosted by DCM and ACT, guests are encouraged to come in costume and trick-or-treat their way through the museum’s Main Street area. Along the way, ACT volunteers will help bring the streets to life with costumes, characters, and a few lighthearted scares and surprises.

The first 100 children will receive a free treat bag filled with candy, snacks, and other goodies. Treat bags will be distributed in the lobby as guests depart. The museum is offering free admission for the evening, though donations are welcome to help cover the rising cost of candy and treats.

ACT is excited to team up with DCM and add a little live theatre to the Halloween fun. Costumed ACT volunteers will take over the shops along Main Street, interacting with trick-or-treaters and adding some spooky surprises throughout the evening. The goal is to create a fun, immersive experience with plenty of Halloween spirit while keeping the scares lighthearted and appropriate for all ages.

ACT is looking for volunteers of all ages to dress up, play a character, provide additional hands, or simply help make Main Street a little spookier for the night. No theatre experience is necessary. Those interested in volunteering can learn more at https://www.actorscommunitytheatre.com/.

After making it through the spooky streets, guests can head to the Log Cabin for crafts, activities, and ice cream!

Families and community members of all ages are encouraged to come out for a safe, indoor evening of trick-or-treating, Halloween fun, and a little live theatre at the Dubois County Museum.
