The Dubois County Museum is excited to bring you their annual Fall Family Harvest Day at the museum
at 2704 N. Newton Street in Jasper on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 1-4pm. Come check out all the fun
activities and foods to enjoy while at the museum. The line-up of activities included shucking, shelling
and grinding of corn using the antique hand tools, check out the molasses making and sampling, see the
tombstones being restored using historic methods, learn about antique corn and grain harvesting
equipment from knowledgeable people, see honey extracting and have a sweet taste, play some old
time games and made some crafts, listen to the Patoka Valley Strummers playing on the log house
porch, enjoy some homemade ice cream, follow a rug being made on a loom, see the museum’s model
trains, hear about furs and hides, kids can enjoy a pony ride, pet the alpacas, enjoy some fresh pressed
apple cider, learn about blacksmithing and watch some log splitting. Most activities are held inside the
museum.
Admission will be charged. Costs are $5 per adults, $3 for high school students, $2 for middle and grade
school students, those 4 and under are free and museum members are also admitted free.
