The Dubois County Museum announces their Membership Dinner for Thursday,
January 22, 2026, at the museum.
A discussion on Mining in Dubois County in the Duff-Huntingburg area with
Randy Wellmeyer will begin about 5:15pm. Following that presentation Tom
Fierst will talk about the silver mining bust that happened in Dubois County in the
late 1880”s. Additional mining insights will also be presented by Jim Corn.
Following the discussion, a meal will be prepared by Oink Inc. Catering at about
6:15 p.m. The meal will feature brisket, smoked chicken, German fried potatoes,
baked beans, green beans and dinner rolls. Dessert will be Dirt Pudding,
cupcakes and cookies.
Cost is $25 a person.
