The Dubois County Museum announces these activities and programs planned for April 2024 at the Dubois County Museum.

Ongoing monthly activities include:

Chess Night on Mondays — Every Monday from 5:30-8:00pm.

Model Train Club meets. Work sessions planned the second Monday of month 6:30pm

“Beauty and Barber Shops” Temporary Display open. Runs till October 2024

Tuesday, April 9, 10,11 Heritage Days with DC 4 th Graders. Fourth Graders from Dubois County
will get to experience a history workshop hosted by the Museum. Guest speakers include Vic
Hurm exploring rocks and geology in area, Kim Schroeder giving an in-depth discussion on skills
needed when she painted many of the Town murals at the museum, Patoka Valley Quilters
Guild explaining the designing and making of quilts and guest Abraham Lincoln sharing his life
story.

Saturday, April 13, Storytime at 10:30 a.m. Carrie Holdsworth welcomes young visitors to hear stories, create crafts and explore the museum.

Saturday, April 27  — Trivia Night at the Museum. The 2024 Theme is “Mysteries at the Museum”.
You are invited to gather an eight-person team and compete for the title of Best Trivia team.
Cost of the team of 8 is $200. Sponsorship levels are available. All 8 members of the winning
team will receive a paid, one year museum membership to the Dubois County Museum, PLUS
the team will receive $200. The mystery themed categories of murders, secrets, supernatural,
etc. will be explored. A mystery item or two from the museum archives/ private collection will

Grand opening of “Wood Industry in Dubois County” Exhibit April 28, 2024. Program at 1:30pm
with local community industry speakers. Piano music and food and refreshments to follow.
