The Dubois County Museum announces the winners of their Second Annual Photo Contest. A
total of ninety photos were entered in the contest; with four photos entered by youth and
eighty-six registered by adults. Judging was held during the month of May by the public and by
two local professional photographers, B.C. Baggett and Robert McCarty. Cash prizes were
presented in the two categories.
The winners of the People Choice Awards for adults voted on were in First place- Susie Kutch
with “Animal- Coons”, in second place-John Dillon with “After the Storm”, and in third place
went to Laurie Wilhite with “Mt. Hood Reflection”. In the Youth Category first place went to
Allie Lueken with “Wyatt the Dog”. The second place winner was Luis Bradford with “Looking
for Dinner”.
The Professional Photographers selected for first place in the Adult category John Dillon with
“After the Storm’, second place to Susie Kutch for “Black & White” and for third place Cameron
Schoenbachler for “The Long Haul”. In the Youth category Aaliyah Bradford won with her photo
of “Spring Beauty”.
The professional judges also selected twenty photos for Honorable Mention Recognition. They
were Elaine Hopf with “Columbine”, Tasia Baker with “Raindrops & Noseys” and “Bee Kind”,
Susie Kutch with “Animal-Coons” and “Tanager”, Sandy Fischer with “Giving Hands” and
“Sunset Serenity”, Lynn Mehringer with “Puppy Love End to End”, Kris Gutgsell with “Down
Home”, Christy Vaal with “Puppy Delivery”, and “Reminiscing with Dad”, Barb Keusch with
“Close Encounter” and “The Landing”, Laurie Wilhite with “Redwoods”, James Patterson with
“Cardinal”, Cameron Schoenbachler with “petals”, Anthony Wolfe with “Orchid”, Eric Russ with
“Oreo Sunbathing”, Connie Mundy with “Sunset over the Square”, and Janice Williams with
“Land Between the Lake”. Youth Honorable Mention went to Luis Bradford with “For the
Lookout for My Babies”.
The photos will continue to be displayed till August 10, 2025, for visitors to view the photos. Photos
may be picked up at the museum after August 10.
Winners may pick up their prizes at the lobby desk.
