The Dubois County Museum is teaming up with area Dairy Farms to bring you a great
event called Discover Dairy Day and it will be Saturday, June 3, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
at the museum at 2704 N. Newton Street in Jasper, IN.

 

Abby Lueken of Lueken Dairy Farms has been rounding up sponsors for this event and has secured many
contributors and activities. Abby herself will be reading a special book at 11:00 a.m.
and again at 1:00 p.m. called Tales of the Dairy Godmother Chuck’s Ice Cream Saga
by Wanda Butler. Through the help of Dubois County Farm Bureau, Inc. copies of the
books are available and will be sold that day at a reduced price. Lueken has also
secured many activities for the day. They include a Cheese Pairing Workshop at 11:00
a.m., a Kiddie Tractor Pull beginning at 12:00 p.m., Touch-a -Tractor courtesy of
Hutson’s, a butter making booth with local teacher Haley Ondiek, a Corn Pit with farm
toys with corn furnished by Superior Ag, a Cow Milking simulator courtesy of Lindauer
Dairy Farm, a Dairy Nutrition Booth with Purdue Extension Educator Chelsea Brewer,
and a Dairy Fact Scavenger Hunt. A variety of dairy foods will be available (while
supplies last) of milk, yogurt, ice cream, root beer floats, cheese, and butter, Also on
hand will be Wood Capital Pizza and Jasper FFA preparing pizza and grilled cheese
sandwiches for purchase.
With the help of Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, (Kevin Bartley, Agent), Superior Ag,
Dubois County Farm Bureau Inc., and Springs Valley Bank and Trust Co, ADMISSION
TO THIS EVENT IS FREE! These companies will also be on hand with information
booths and have free giveaways.
