The Dubois County Museum announces these scheduled upcoming programs for August 2024.
Strassenfest items on Display August 1-4 and until August 11.
Saturday, August 10- Storytime at 10:30 a.m. with Carrie Holdsworth. Theme is “We all Scream for Ice
Cream”. Creating excitement for our 25th Anniversary Celebration on August 25. Stories, activities and ice cream.
Sunday, August 11- 5th Annual Car Show in the Park 9:00-noon Registration. Judging at noon.
People’s Choice Award voted by people viewing the car show. Concession stand serving food
and refreshments. Museum open from 1-4 p.m.
Sunday, August 25- Museum Celebrates 25 years. Museum open from 1-4 p.m. Cake and Ice
cream served. Face painting by Ruth. Celebration Singers will perform beginning at 1:30 p.m.
New “Wood Industry in Dubois County” Exhibit open. Study the rich woodworking history of
the area.
“Beauty and Barber Shops” Temporary Display. Runs till October 2024.
View three new temporary exhibits. Stop and see the model Jasper Mill and log home in lobby
and read about the many county mills. Stop and take in the numerous advertising
thermometers and calendars that are housed in a cabinet and positioned on the wall of the
ramp area.
Model Train Club meets. Work session second Monday of Month 6:30pm. New members
welcome.
Registrations being taken for Tea with Teddy and Me. Tea hosted by museum on September 7,
10:30-noon. RSVP Stacy Helming at [email protected] by September 4. Cost is $7 per
adults and $4 for girls and boys ages 3-9 years old. Pay at the door.
