Over 20,600 of the museum’s collections are historical objects including furniture, textiles, military artifacts, domestic items, ceramics, glass, woodworking tools, agricultural items, metalwork, medical artifacts, and artwork.

The objects are rich in history. They bring back memories of the past for the elders as well as give the youth a look at the way of life before their time.

These objects are either on loan or were donated to the museum by individuals in our region, because they held a special place in the hearts of the previous owner. Now, they can be enjoyed by all that visit and can reach the hearts of many.

People wanting to donate items to the museum are urged to contact the museum’s Collection Committee before bringing in the items. For information, please call the Collections Chairperson at 812-634-7733 or email [email protected]
