Opening of the 2021 Christmas Season

November 18, 2021 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm EST

November 18, 2021,  is the opening of the Christmas season at the museum.

For the 2021 Festival of Trees the theme is Community and Cultural Connections. See over eighteen trees in the Festival in Room Three from communities and organizations. View over thirty trees additionally placed and decorated around the museum. Feel warm and fuzzy as you view a temporary display in Room One called “Home for the Holidays”. The display invites you to step inside a 1920’s scene from Dubois County. Continue around the over 50,000 square feet of exhibits and enjoy the bright and colorful holiday decorations, the Santa collection gifted to the museum by Kay Smock and our new photo booth. It is a chance to get your family together for a photo opportunity in front of the Eckert Log House by climbing into the Eckert wooden sleigh built by Anton Eckert around 1890. Refreshments will be served this night.

This is a “Third Thursday Free Admission Night”.

Come in and take advantage of this opportunity to see this exhibit and tour the museum at no cost.

Donations will be accepted.
