LEARN TO TIE A FLY FISHING FLY

June 26, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm EDT

Learn to Tie a Fly Fishing Fly at the Dubois County Museum

Calling all fishermen. The Dubois County Museum on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 10:00am and repeated again at 1:00pm invite all to learn about Tying a Fly Fishing Fly with Joe “Swampy” Schoenbachler and friends at the museum at 2704 N. Newton Street in Jasper, IN.

Participants will try their hand at this age old art of fly tying and go home with several flies. About four to five artists will be teaching how to tie five or more different fly fishing flies that can be used for fishing. Come and learn as many different flies as you have time and skill for and stay as long as you would like. Stations will be set up in the museum for participants to move from one artist to another learning a specific fly that mimics an insect for fishing.

This activity is open to all ages and abilities. The group will be available in the morning and then take a short lunch break when possible and then return in the afternoon.

Admission to the museum will be charged. Admission is $5 per adult, $3 per high school student, $2 per middle and elementary student, and free to those four years old and younger. There is no extra charge for the program.
