Kinder Karneval (Children’s carnival)

The Jasper High School German Club is sponsoring “Kinder Karneval” for all area students in Grades 3-5 at the Dubois County Museum on Saturday, January 20, from 8:30 to 10:30am. A $2 program fee, per student, is payable at the door. Pre-registration is preferred, but not required. Please email [email protected] to register with your child’s name and grade. Kinder Karneval is a chance for children to delve into the German heritage and to experience the German culture. The theme is Fasching. This is the German “Mardi Gras” and is celebrated for many months up to Ash Wednesday. Come experience German culture, skits, food, crafts, games and learn common German phrases. Children are invited to wear their Halloween costumes since this is the time German children get “dressed up”.
